BREAKING NEWS! Chemtec Chemical Company has been awarded an expanded distributorship role by BASF! Effective January 1, 2012 Chemtec will handle the BASF Care Chemicals line (including the former Cognis products) for the West. Chemtec will now be able to offer an even more attractive product portfolio which includes innovative, environmentally sound products and formulations for the personal care market. Keeping in step with contemporary consumer demands the expanded product portfolio offers well-being, convenience, and sustainability for our customers. The BASF Brand has long focused on nurturing and building stable and trusting partnerships. Chemtec Chemical Company has had a long-standing relationship with BASF, and we are very excited and honored to have been chosen to grow that partnership. Please join us in celebrating this great news! 2011 Chemtec Chemical Company Trip Every year for the past 10 years, Chemtec Chemical Company has treated its employees and their spouses to a traditional company retreat. In the past, the group has traveled to various locations in Mexico, to Las Vegas, and even a dude ranch in Colorado. The trip is a recognition and thank you to the dedicated team at Chemtec, and celebrates our success by getting away from work as a group and enjoying some personal time together. This year's trip was to Oahu, Hawaii! There was plenty of sun, food, and fun for everyone. The 3 day trip was highlighted by a rollicking luau at Paradise Cove – where everyone was treated to fabulous food and a show complete with hula- and fire-dancers. Everyone returned home safely – and many of the decorations around the office remain to remind everyone of the fabulous trip! The 25th Year Award of Loyalty Customer Award After narrowing down the nominations to a handful of customers, Shin Etsu chose Chemtec as the recipient of the $100 Million Dollar Sales Award. It is the highest honor, reflecting the years that the Chemtec team has worked to maintain exceptional service and rapport with Shin Etsu. Chemtec was recognized for its ability to successfully promote Shin Etsu's products year after year. Jim Harrison, President of Chemtec, asked Trudi Leung, VP of Sales, to accept this extraordinary honor on behalf of Chemtec during a meeting in Akron, Ohio. Trudi was honored and touched by the warm welcome from Shin Etsu's top management team. Extended Customer Service Hours Flexibility is one way to survive in today's competitive market. Due to increasing demands and workloads, both locally and nationally, Chemtec has extended the customer service hours from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The extended hours allow Chemtec to efficiently serve both East & West Coast customers. Now there are experienced professionals available to take orders and answer customers' concerns without delay. Lincoln Fine Ingredients joins Chemtec Chemtec is proud to announce the inclusion of Lincoln Fine Ingredients (LFI) as one of our suppliers. Lincoln's emphasis on natural products and innovation makes them a forerunner in the world of personal care. Lincoln offers a wide range of globally approved preservatives with broad spectrum activity. LFI's headquarters are in Lincoln, Rhode Island. Chemtec Strengthens its Management Team Trudi Leung was promoted to VP of Sales. Trudi has a proven track record with the company. Through her integrity, knowledge, and enthusiasm, she has established an excellent record with customers, big and small. "Trudi's ability to sell strategically, understand market trends, and continually be able to introduce the new raw materials makes her a clear choice for VP," said Jim Harrison, President of Chemtec Chemical. John Mizialko has recently joined Chemtec as the new Technical Director. John's 30+ years of technical experience in the food, household, and personal care industries make him the perfect fit. He has the experience, knowledge, and curiosity to help our customers grow their business. John is available for technical information and questions about product applications. Cheryl Romero, who joined Chemtec initially as an inventory control specialist has recently been given complete responsibility for the inventory management as well as the day-to-day operations of the warehouse. Thanks to her efforts our most recent inventory count reflected a reduction in lost inventory of over 99%! Prior to joining Chemtec, Cheryl enjoyed a 26-year career with Jafra Cosmetics.
